NICK GRAY FRIENDS NEWSLETTER

Why you’re getting this: I'm Nick Gray and this is my Friends Newsletter. I send this every month to interesting people I’ve connected with and friends I want to keep in touch with. You can un-subscríbe any time and I won't be mad. I won't even be notified!

My Experience with Men’s Hair Loss

I wrote up notes about what I've been doing and everything I learned about losing my hair.

Here's the thing: when you think about stopping men’s hair loss, you want to mitigate loss and grow new hair.

This article on my blog will show what I’m doing to prevent my own hair loss and promote new growth. I’ll also share what strategies have helped me the most over the past 10 years.

The two main things that I do and recommend to almost everyone are:

  1. Finasteride to stop hair loss
  2. Minoxidil to grow new hair

For under $1 per day, you can start taking both of these and change your life. Or at least your hair.

To research this article, I visited several hair loss doctors to get second and third opinions on what I’ve been doing. I also had my hairline and hair thickness measured several times.

🎉 I hosted a party! by Lukas Rosenstock

Detailed article by someone who used my event-hosting formula from my book, The 2-Hour Cocktail Party: "My main change to the formula was not calling it a cocktail party because I felt it was false advertising without serving proper cocktails. I named it an after-work party instead. Other than that, only minor changes to the tools and shopping list (you can’t host a party without serving beer in Germany)."

🎙️ The Love Expert: Why Women Are Addicted To F**k Boys & Why You Should "Have A 'Boring' Relationship Instead!" Logan Ury ( Spotify and Apple Podcast )

Podcast episode that I really enjoyed. "Are we our own worst enemies when it comes to romance? What if instead, we dated like a scientist, using equations and analysis, rather than feelings and attraction to find love."

🎧 Codie Sanchez's Podcast: The Struggle Isn't Real

"Codie Sanchez takes you on a weekly journey asking questions of elite achievers, strivers and doers that would be wildly inappropriate at a dinner party. Our goal each week is to remind ourselves that you were not put here to live an ordinary life, you were meant for something more."

📹 How I Met Charlie Munger, by Chris Sparling

Chris, business partner of my friend Andrew Wilkinson at Tiny, talks about how he almost merged his company with The Daily Journal and how they both befriended Charlie Munger.

⛑️ What You Aren’t Hearing About Marijuana’s Health Effects (no paywall)

"Bertha Madras, a leading expert on weed, outlines the science linking it to psychiatric disorders, permanent brain damage, and other serious harms."

🇯🇵 Tokyo Blind Date

The most popular thing I've done in a while. And it was wild. I copy-pasted my viral diary posts into this article for easier reading and to serve as a personal archive.

Upcoming Travel: Bali

I'm writing this from the airport in Manila, Philippines as I head to Bali, Indonesia from June 5-12, 2024.

I will be attending a week-long walking salon hosted by Kevin Kelly and Craig Mod. I'm in a group of 10 people who walk 100km in a week, talking along the way, including a 3-hour conversation each evening dedicated to one topic suggested by the participants.

They wrote up this PDF guide for how you can host your own walk and talk with your own group of friends.

If you have any must-do tips for Bali that you know are still good and legit, please send me your best advice!

The End

My flight is boarding now so I better get going...
